You will have access to full working hoists, hospital beds, and slide sheets, as well as all the necessary equipment for you to learn with and practice on whilst being supported by your trainer or assessor.
Conduct Manual Tasks Safely
This Nationally Recognised Training Unit of Competency describes the skills and knowledge required to recognise potentially hazardous manual tasks, and then to prepare for and complete those tasks in a safe manner.
This unit applies to all workers involved in manual handling tasks. The unit HLTWHS005 Conduct Manual Tasks Safely is contextualised to the Aged Care/Allied Health setting.
During this manual handling course for carers and nurses, you will receive all the necessary theory to understand legislation and safe work practices surrounding the mobilisation of clients and objects within your own working role.
