Basic written and spoken English is required to understand manual handling policies and procedures, Hazardous Manual handling Compliance Code and undertake the assessment tasks associated with this unit.
Participants will complete a language, literacy and numeracy assessment to assess their capacity to meet unit requirements.
Applicants must also have the physical capacity to meet the manual work requirements of the unit.

The confined space course is aimed at entering and working in confined spaces within the resource and infrastructure industries. It includes training in planning and preparation, including hazards and risk management controls.
Participants will have an understanding of risk assessment procedures and permits to work at height. Participants who undertake our height safety training course will also undergo practical instruction in the correct use of height safety equipment.
This course has been designed for individuals who work alone or as part of a team as an operator required to wear breathing apparatus in their work role. Â This might be because they are working in a confined space, with hazardous gases/vapours, or in an oxygen deficient atmosphere.
