Manual Handling Course

This 3.5 hour course is suitable for all staff that require to have an understanding of the hazards associated with manual handling and also allows employers to meet their legal requirement. After the 3.5 hour course staff will:

• Have an understanding of the Manual Handling Operations Regulations 1992
• Be provided with general information on the structure of the spine and the long term health implications of poor manual handling
• Be given an introduction to the risk assessment process and also shown how to conduct a manual handling assessment
• Be shown and have knowledge of good manual handling techniques

At the end of the course the delegates will be given a short written assessment to ensure they have understood the main points of the course.
