The Manual Handling Training course is aimed at all employees who may undertake any form of manual handling operations such as lifting, lowering, carrying, pulling, pushing, manoeuvring, transporting either by hand or with bodily force.
Employers have a legal obligation under the Manual Handling Operations Regulations 1992 to ensure that they and their employees are sufficiently trained and competent in the safe practices of manual handling. Section 2 of the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 requires employers to provide the necessary safety information and training to all their employees.
