Our manual handling training course is designed to train participants in how to carry out their work safely to reduce the risk of injuries.
The course teaches participants techniques for lifting and moving materials manually and using basic manual handling equipment in a safe manner.
Course Outline
The key areas covered by this course include:
Identifying relevant standards and legislation related to managing manual handling tasks in the workplace
Identifying what manual handling is and its characteristics
Recognising manual handling hazards
How to determine the safest method of movement to reduce the risk of injuries
Applying different lifting and transfer techniques to safely manage manual handling tasks
The possible consequences of not applying correct manual handling techniques.
Course Inclusions

It is designed to be easy to use, easy to understand and works on multiple devices and platforms.
Each Trainee Must Provide
Participants must:
Have at least a Year 10 level of numeracy, literacy and communication skills
Have the ability to read and write English
Have a stable internet connection
Use a device that can play sound and meets the minimum System Requirements of Pinnacle’s e-Learning system (we officially support and recommend modern desktop or laptop computers running Google Chrome web browser). Other personal devices (e.g. phones and tablets) may be compatible, but due to the variety available, we do not officially support these devices.

This unit describes participants skills and knowledge required to enter and work in confined spaces in the Resources and Infrastructure Industries. Licensing, legislative, regulatory and certification requirements that apply to this unit can vary between states, territories, and Industry sectors.
By completing this course the participant will gain the knowledge and the skills to:Plan and prepare for operating an elevating work platform. Operate excavator in line with established requirements. Lift, carry and place materials to complete work activity. Select, remove, fit and use attachments
The training to achieve this High Risk Work Licence – Forklift (LF), consists of 3 components: Formal theory training, supervised work experience and assessment. We offer three options to obtain the licence.
To operate a Forklift, you need a LF High Risk Work Licence. The TLILIC0003 - Licence to operate a forklift truck  course provides the formal training and accredited assessment which will allow you to apply for a Queensland HRW Licence for Forklift Truck - LF.
Forklift operation has been classed as high risk work since 1 September 2010. To undertake this work you need a Licence to Perform High Risk Work.
