Massage Therapy

ICE&M aims to provide students with the best education crucial for a successful career in the massage industry and that is achieved through Premier Massage. The 500-hour course covers advanced massage modalities that many spas require for their employees.

Students will cover theory and practical subjects including:

• Swedish massage therapy techniques.

• Anatomy, physiology, kinesiology, pathology and basic pharmacology.

• Hydrotherapy.

• Health and hygiene.

• Business practices and professional ethics.?

This course prepares students for the CIDESCO Body Therapy Certificate or CIDESCO Beauty Therapy Diploma and covers advanced subjects:

• Body analysis: determining contra-indications.

• Heat therapy: sauna, steam, infra-red and paraffin wax.

• Mechanical massage: gyratory, percussion and audio-sonic vibrators.

• Galvanic body treatments: electrical currents, iontophoresis.

• Electrical muscle stimulation: faradic type, EMS, NMS, microcurrent and interferential electrical currents.

• Manual lymph drainage and vacuum suction.

• Body treatments: exfoliation, body wraps and masks.
