Masters of Arts in Economics

The postgraduate course in Economics is the flagship programme of the School of Liberal Arts and Human Sciences, with intensive specialisations in areas of Financial Economics and Development Economics. Eligibility Criteria

• Graduation with a degree in B.A/B.A (Hons) in Economics with a minimum percentage of 50% at the level of graduation is required
• A bachelor’s degree with Honours/ Honours with Research with a minimum of 160credits for a 1-year/2-semester master’s programme at level 6.5 on the NHEQF1 or a  3-year/6-semester bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 120 credits for a 2-year/4-semester Master’s programme at level 6.5 on the NHEQF or a 4-year Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 160 credits for a 2-year/4-semester Master’s programme at level 7 of NHEQF or a student is eligible for a master’s in Economics programme corresponding to either major or minor(s) discipline in UG programme. Students with a graduation degree in other disciplines can also apply for MA Economics. However they would be required to complete one month bridge course in July 2024
