Our MBA is also offered over two years if you wish to undertake your studies and remain on the job. Classes are scheduled weekly on Tuesday nights, biweekly Saturdays all day and on Sundays.
While electives are shown in specific semesters, students may opt to take them at another time in the program.
Note that all mandatory classes for this program are offered in English only; however, students are allowed to submit assignments and answer exam questions in the official language of their choice.
How you learn:
We Teach Competencies:
Our program takes a competency-based approach to teaching that puts you in the centre of the best possible learning environment.
Balance theoretical and practical:
Our professors teach well-researched concepts about management that deliver proven results. When you grasp these ideas, you can critically assess current and emerging issues in either public or private organizations and implement strategies to ensure success.
We also use team learning. By collaborating closely with your peers—many with knowledge of business cultures that differ from yours—you gain an even deeper understanding of vital management concepts and practices and how they are applied in organizations today.
Be part of small, engaging classes:
Fifty students—that is the maximum number of students in each cohort of our program. We keep our overall cohort and individual class sizes small so that our program itself and every course within it are engaging, providing meaningful opportunities for you to participate thoughtfully with your professors and peers.
Everyone who joins the tight-knit community that makes up our management school is immediately engaged in the business of building a better Canada.
Our students are fully immersed in a learning experience that goes beyond the classroom and takes them out into the practical world, where they benefit from working with partners to make a real impact in their world.
This exposure prepares our students to become a new generation of leaders ready to apply their learning to the world around them.
Our faculty devotes themselves to conducting leading-edge research that produces the insights and ideas that we use to shape our unique curriculum.
Our staff is committed to providing the support that makes all this important work possible, united by a shared belief that better business means a better Canada, and that a better Canada means a better world.
Our Vision:
A greener, healthier, happier, wealthier Canada for all.
Our Mission:
To empower current and future societal leaders with the knowledge and tools to influence smarter decisions about policy and practice to create a better Canada.
What Sets Us Apart:
Telfer takes a results-oriented approach to the realization of a Better Canada. The research and data analysis we do generates the very same knowledge that we share with our students and with key constituencies in Canada and around the world.
Telfer is driven by a passion for delivering positive societal outcomes in line with what we value: people, the planet, and profit. We measure our success in terms of how our actions align with macro, societal outcomes.
We educate our students, through course work and work experience to become better decision-makers. We share knowledge with current decision-makers to inform their policy choices, as well as illuminate the potential impacts of their options.
While other business schools concentrate on building capital, at Telfer, we are devoted to building a better world.
At DeGroote, we invest in students wanting to make a difference in the world. We want to talk to the engineering student who has a great idea but needs the tools and network to bring it to market
