This course includes on-site training, first aid manuals, advice & support via phone or email, Introduction to the AED and CPD verifiable certificates in-line with GDC guidelines.

  • Assessment is done by continuous observation and questioning during the course.

Qualification
This training is GDC – CPD verifiable, CPD points and certificates of attendance will be issued on completion of this course. GDC Council Numbers and CPD points will be printed on the certificate

4 Hour Session

This course equips the individual or team with the first aid skills to respond to medical emergencies common to dental practices including; basic/advanced life support (CPR) and the administration of first line emergency drugs if required.

Course Content
CPR manikins will be provided by Safeaid Training for use during your training session.

  • Immediate life support – adult and child

  • Management of unconscious casualties​

  • Airway management​

  • Asthma​

  • Anaphylaxis​

  • Cardiac emergencies​

  • Stroke​

  • Epileptic Seizures​

  • Hypoglycaemia & Hyperglycaemia​

  • Choking​

  • Team based training incidents CPR/AED

  • DRABCDE recognition​

  • Administration of an AED

  • Understanding the uses of NEWS​

  • Administering common first line dental practice emergency drugs.

  • Sedation Reversal

  • Administration of emergency oxygen

Four hours.

2 Hour Session
