This learning opportunity is designed for all seafarers in any capacity wishing to pursue a career at sea. To achieve the basic procedures in First Aid onboard a vessel, the competencies as described in the STCW (Standards of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping) and SAMSA (South African Maritime Safety Authority) Codes respectively:
MOGA is an initiative of South African Oil & Gas Alliance (SAOGA), which serves the Interests of Industry and Members in the Upstream and Midstream Oil and Gas Sectors in Africa.
SAOGA is dedicated to promoting the upstream and midstream sectors of the oil and gas value chain, primarily in South Africa and regionally in Southern Africa.
The organisation operates as a partnership between the public and private sectors, receiving public funding to carry out a range of industry development activities and working to promote the interests of members. It is overseen by an independent volunteer Board of Directors from industry and a number of other key stakeholders.
Basic Fist Aid training is offered by Shovel Multi Skills. Shovel Multi Skills Training Centre training further demonstrates its commitment to quality education by preparing learners for their professional and civic lives through course and program of study integration.
First Aid is a foundation that is important in saving lives and helping the patient. The way that the First Aider uses his/ her skills can prevent further injuries, or death. The First Aider is often first on scene and needs to recognize the severity of the situation, initiate lifesaving procedures
First Aid training is offered by Green View Skills Training. Green View Skills Training is a private technical skills training provider, established to promote and uphold comprehensive skills and training needs aimed at addressing technical training and skills.
This is a comprehensive course that will cover the fundamentals of First Aid, including wound care, CPR techniques, handling medical emergencies, and much more.
First Aid Level 1-3 Combination course is offered by Plascom Training Institute for all skill level. All courses are developed and maintained under the guidance of the industrial based committee that qualified and experienced lecturers represent.
