Avalokiteshvara Kadampa Buddhist Centre (AKBC), a centre in the New Kadampa Tradition – International Kadampa Buddhist Union (NKT-IKBU), was established in 2009 to bring Buddha’s ancient teachings to modern people. These teachings enable everyone, regardless of previous experience or background, to develop inner peace.Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso, the founder of NKT-IKBU, has dedicated his life to helping people find true happiness by developing inner peace through meditation and other practices.
He has designed an international education program that provides everyone, regardless of nationality, age or gender with the opportunity to learn simple techniques for developing the capacity of their mind and eventually attaining the permanent inner peace of enlightenment.
