More often, meditation and mindfulness are commonly thought of as a technique to relieve stress through the attainment of a mind and physical state of relaxation. It can, no doubt deliver these benefits. However, there is more to what you can get out of meditative practice.
More often, meditation and mindfulness are commonly thought of as a technique to relieve stress through the attainment of a mind and physical state of relaxation. It can, no doubt deliver these benefits. However, there is more to what you can get out of meditative practice.
Our experts in meditation in Singapore will take you through each practice and as a student, you will be able to understand yourself deeper by exploring your inner-self and mind through the different forms of meditation and mindfulness practices. At OhmSantih Yoga, our classes for meditation can help you to reduce your anxiety levels. They can also help you gain greater awareness of your thoughts and habits. When you have more control of your thought patterns, you will feel more productive in your daily life activities.
Furthermore, our classes for mindfulness in Singapore can teach you to be more attuned with your body allowing it to alleviate stress and bring it towards a more relaxed state. Our classes for mindfulness can also improve emotion regulation which allows you to be more self-affirmed and controlled.
Prior to commencing the meditative yoga and mindfulness practice, each class will begin with a nasal cleansing practice. This nasal irrigation practice is to get rid of dirt and bacteria that have been trapped by the mucus within the nose. Once the nose is cleaned, the efficiency of breathing will be increased, supplying fresh oxygenated air to the different parts of the body, including the brain through pranayama.
After the pranayama practice, the students will perform various meditative postures. The intent of these postures is to help position oneself in such a way that one’s limbs cease to send stimuli to the mind, allowing the student to concentrate on the meditative practice.
Having laid the foundations for the student mentally and physically, he/she will then be ready to embrace the various techniques that will be taught and find one or a few that best suits them – walking the spiritual journey, towards the path of self-discovery.
At OhmSantih Yoga, our classes for meditation in Singapore will help you gain a better understanding of yourself leading you down a path of discovering the best version of yourself. Likewise, our classes for mindfulness in Singapore can ultimately give you the best stress-relieving experience which contributes to the foundation of building a strong immune support system.
Welcome to OhmSantih Yoga, your premier destination for an enriching yoga experience in Singapore. At OhmSantih, we go beyond the physical aspect of yoga and embrace it as a philosophy for life. Founder War War has carefully cultivated an environment that fosters peace for everyone, creating a community that extends beyond the studio walls.
Established in 2011, OhmSantih Yoga is more than just a studio; we are a close-knit yoga family. With small class sizes, typically consisting of no more than 5 to 6 students, we ensure personalized attention and a tailored yoga experience. Our dedicated teachers are committed to understanding individual needs and providing high-quality guidance, adjustments, and support throughout each session. By emphasizing the holistic nature of yoga, we aim to cultivate body awareness, promote mindful breathing, and nurture the capacity to fully relax in our fast-paced society.
Unlike other yoga studios, our focus extends beyond individual lessons. We take pride in guiding our students on a transformative journey, helping them establish a lifelong and deep yoga practice that serves them through the ups and downs of life. Our approach is rooted in War War’s extensive training at renowned institutions, including the Krishnamacharya Yoga Mandiram in Chennai under the guidance of Sir TKV Desikachar, and the Paramanand Institute of Yoga Sciences & Research in Indore, India, where she studied with Dr. Omanand. War War’s expertise is further complemented by her Advanced Certification in Training and Assessment (ACTA), accredited by the Singapore Workforce Skills Qualifications (WSQ), which affirms her competency as a trainer, curriculum planner, and assessor.
At OhmSantih, we welcome individuals from all walks of life to embark on their yoga journey. Our offerings cater to various levels, ranging from beginner to intermediate and advanced, ensuring that there’s a class suitable for everyone. Additionally, we provide teacher training courses and workshops, as well as specialized classes for kids, prenatal and postnatal care, dynamic drop-in sessions, corporate classes, and yoga therapy sessions.
Yoga therapy has gained recognition in recent years as an effective practice for addressing common ailments and illnesses such as scoliosis, knee injuries, depression, and fertility issues. She even offers personalized visits to patients at hospitals and their homes, providing healing and support through the therapeutic power of yoga.
All our teachers at OhmSantih undergo rigorous training by War War herself, ensuring a consistent and high standard of instruction.
