About the course
This course is intended for learners who are interested supporting mental health in the workplace and may wish to become a mental health first aider.
The course will give the learner the skills to support colleagues with mental health problems by increasing their knowledge and understanding of mental health conditions. Learners will understand the principles of mental health first aid and how this can be implemented in the workplace.
Learners will gain transferable skills such as communication, confidence and professionalism.

Mentally healthy environments
The early years lead practitioner programme will develop the knowledge, skills and behaviours of early years practitioners to be proactive and influential, skilfully leading day-to-day practice at an operational level.
This 4-hour qualification provides learners with the knowledge to recognise a range of mental health conditions, how to start a supportive conversation and when and how to signpost a person to seek appropriate professional help. Learners will know how to recognise and manage stress.
