Mentoring Level 2 course is offered by EDAS
EDAS provides support to adults and young people affected by alcohol, illicit substances, and over-the-counter or prescribed medication misuse and/or experiencing mental distress. Our 50+ years of experience enables us to provide services that are delivered with empathy, professionalism, and credibility.
On a daily basis, we offer one-to-one support, group work, education and family support, and work towards positive outcomes for the individual, their families, and the wider community.
Working closely with partner agencies
EDAS works closely with partner agencies such as Health, Education, Mental Health, GP’s, Housing and Employment to develop packages of care that meet the needs of our service users. The interventions we offer are evidence-based and in line with NICE (National Institute of Clinical Excellence) and NTA/PHE (National Treatment Agency/Public Health England) guidelines.
We strongly believe in dignity and respect
EDAS believe that all of its personnel and service users have the right to be treated with dignity and respect. Our highly skilled workforce is passionate about helping others to find ways to help themselves towards making positive life choices free of dependency.
Our qualified trainers based in the EDAS Learning Centre offer bespoke and accredited courses of study to learners across the county to improve upon their skills to work with people affected by alcohol and substance use.
In addition, EDAS delivers a level 5 leadership and management programme on a modular basis. This busy training department can deliver learning programmes in venues suitable to you or from our interactive Learning Centre in Poole.
We have recognised accredited status with Ascentis, Institute for Leadership & Management and the National Open College Network, and design and deliver courses to suit all needs.
More recently, we have also been delivering educational packages to our service users and, to date, over 150 service users have achieved nationally recognised qualifications whilst undertaking therapeutic support at EDAS.
This has enabled our service users to seek voluntary work and employment or enabled them to enrol on further advanced courses of study at College.
