By the end of this course, delegates will have the skills to:
Explain mentoring, and the key knowledge, skills, and attributes they need to be an effective mentor.
Demonstrate key aspects of the mentor / mentee relationship including putting in place a contract aligned to ethics and showing consideration to safeguarding issues.
Use effective communication, and mentoring frameworks having applied this knowledge to review a scenario video and demonstrated these in a practice activity.
Identify methods of engaging with a mentee including being able to use a range of mentoring tools.
Demonstrate the ability to give and receive feedback effectively, through participating in a practice activity.
Reflect on their role will as a mentor, identifying personal strengths and development areas, by producing a personal SWOT analysis and development plan.
