This course introduces students to the fundamental financial issues concerning mergers and acquisitions. It covers a background on mergers and acquisitions; the valuation of M&A transactions; tax and accounting for M&A transactions; analyzing the type of acquisition - hostile versus friendly; adopting tactics to deal with hostile takeover bids; managing merger negotiations first-hand; and junk bonds and LBOs.

HVAC technicians diagnose electrical and mechanical faults for HVAC systems. They also install, maintain and repair ventilation and air conditioning systems and equipment.
In part one of the HVAC/R evening program, students will study the fundamental principles of electricity. This will include: the magic of transformers, electric motors, gas and electric heat, and how to read and understand electrical schematics and diagrams.
The program is designed to prepare entry-level workers in industries that include, but are not limited to, chemical, food and beverage, pharmaceutical, power generation, pulp and paper, refining, and waste water control.
