This session is suitable for those who are brand new, or fairly new, to mindfulness. If you already have quite a lot of mindfulness experience, the training session will provide valuable clarity and reminders and is likely to bring fresh tools and ideas.
One of the reasons we started Mindfulness in Reading is because of the gap between the provision of mindfulness and the level of interest or need.
Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) is a highly researched and popular programme that cultivates mindfulness in everyday life, improving health and easing stress.
Mindfulness is an approach to life that helps people relate effectively to their experiences. It involves paying attention to thoughts, feelings and body sensations in a way that can increase our awareness and help us manage difficult experiences, and create space for wise choices.
The course will enable participants to understand the idea of mindfulness and related concepts. Participants will experience how mindfulness can affect our behaviour and interpersonal relationships and identify the impact effective mindfulness has on your organisation.
