Led by Paul Roberts, Director, HSW, the portfolio supports and maintains the University’s HSW Management Framework and supports the HR Branch in respect of HR and HSW related risks, legislative compliance and internal/external audit processes.
The HSW portfolio provides core services such as the management of the University’s self-insurance licence, the formulation of safety and injury management policy and procedure, and assists with the formulation of strategies and the co-ordination of resultant activities to enable the University to maintain a safe workplace and compliance with the Return to Work SA Code of Conduct for Self-Insurance.
The HSW portfolio also provides a range of shared services including the provision of HSW advice and case management for workers compensation claims. In addition, the HSW portfolio develops and maintains organisational frameworks, tools and initiatives to support staff wellbeing.
