The Basics
At the SMA Centre, students start off by learning the foundational principles of martial arts. Learning the basic techniques, stances and exercises are an essential part of one’s training, without which students cannot progress. Foundational learning starts with the simplest and most fundamental movements, upon which all others are based.
Students start learning simple movements, such as stances, kicks, punches and conditioning exercises, and are made to perform these movements repeatedly until they become second-nature.

We offer Mixed Martial Arts training in line with the International Mixed Martial Arts Federation syllabus.
Have you ever wanted to get involved in MMA but thought it to be too rough? MMA is a great sport when it comes to getting fit, learning a combat sport and in addition it will most certainly help you in a self-defence situation.
To get the best out of martial arts, you have to dedicate yourself to it. You have to see it as a way of life, and not just a sport or a hobby. A true martial artist walks on two paths, he/she walks the path of the warrior, and the path of the scholar.
Mixed martial arts is a full-contact combat sport that allows striking and grappling, both standing and on the ground, using techniques from various combat sports and martial arts.
Our training method combines techniques from MMA’s most popular styles such as Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Wrestling and Thai Boxing.
