Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) is the fastest growing sport in the world – and for good reason! It is an exiting format where competitors fight in 3 different ranges – 1) standing up (utilizing styles like boxing and Muay Thai), 2) clinching (utilizing holds and often judo-style take-downs) and once the fight goes to the ground 3) ground fighting (utilizing styles like Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and and wrestling)
Whether you just want to try getting into MMA for fitness and fun, or whether you have your sights set on the Cage, WSG Academy is the place for you.
Our students range from veteran EFC fighters through to those who just want to get fit and have fun doing something a bit different.
MMA is also the ideal style for self defense for both men and women and the gym has several female MMA students.
Our MMA programme is run by Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and MMA expert and EFC Referee Wiekus Swart.
