Participants also engage in hands-on training activities, including a field level hazard assessment, pre-use equipment inspection and basic operation of a MEWP.
While this basic course can be used as part of a worker's competency assessment, the employer must designate a worker as a "competent person" based on specific tasks assigned.

Victory Safety and Training was opened in June, 2008 in Saskatoon Sk. by Dale Ledoux. Dale is a graduate of the Saskatchewan Indian Institute of Technologies having completed the combined fire fighter / primary care paramedic program.
His original certification included level 2 fire fighter, primary care paramedic, confined space / technical rope rescue technician, hazardous materials operations, fire services instructor.
And more along with this training Dale has plenty of other instructor certification as well as instructing and emergency medical services experience.
The operators are obligated to be trained on the equipment, usage, inspection and identification on potential risk (CSA B354.2-01 – Article 7.1)
Theoretical and practical training provides participants with the basic knowledge and skills necessary to perform a confined space rescue.
Excavating and Trenching Practical and Rescue course is offered by DSC Safety Services.
Level 1 Occupational Health Committee (OHC) Course is an introductory course for OHC members and occupational health and safety representatives (reps).
