OSHA-Compliant Aerial Lift Courses

We developed our lift training courses with your needs in mind. We offer adaptive learning modules tailored to you and your staff, giving you the tools you need to maintain a safe and efficient worksite.

In our aerial lift training course, you will learn:

  • Why aerial lift safety is important
  • Types of aerial lifts
  • How to operate different types of lifts
  • OSHA standards for aerial lift operation
  • Hazards to watch out for
  • How to inspect a lift prior to operation
  • How to inspect a work zone to ensure safe operation
  • How to prevent slips, falls, and other workplace accidents

Course Outline

Each course starts with a brief video about aerial lifts and how to use them safely. Working with you, we’ll then identify potential risks involved in operating a lift and how we can prevent them during operation.

From there, we’ll demonstrate the correct operational procedure, including how to perform a pre-start safety inspection and how to maintain a safe work zone.

We take a collaborative approach to improve student outcomes and adapt our instruction to the needs of each learner. By doing so, we’re able to deliver a more engaging, hands-on course that helps everyone work safer, smarter, and more efficiently.

Great Rates on Aerial Training

The total cost of the training program will depend on the size of your team and what kind of machinery we need to discuss. Many different aerial lifts are used on construction sites, each with its own mechanisms and risk.

The training is typically broken up into two portions, classroom training and hands-on training, which together should take no more than a day to complete.

When you contact our expert team, we will be happy to crunch some numbers and let you know just how much it will cost to train your staff for aerial lift operation.

Are you ready to get started - we sure are! Contact us by phone or email to book a training day at your earliest convenience. We look forward to helping you operate more safely.

Aerial Lift Training/ Mobile Elevated Work Platform (MEWP)

3-E Safety Services LLC offers OSHA/ANSI compliant training and lift certification needed to safely and correctly operate aerial lifts. The term aerial lift encompasses many different brands, styles, and models of lifts. Aerial lifts come in many different forms, each one specifically designed for specific tasks.

Aerial lifts allow workers to complete tasks at high elevations, all while doing so safely. 3-E Safety Services' Aerial Lift Training will allow workers to operate any of the following:

  • Scissor Lifts- This kind of aerial lift has the advantage of a high carrying capacity, anywhere between 500 to 1500 pounds. Scissor lifts are ideal for moving large amounts of people, material, or equipment from one place to another.Scissor lifts can go as high as 56 feet above the ground. The number of people and capacity of the lift will vary depending on model. The two types of scissor lifts are:
  • Slab Unit- These are designed to work indoors and are often electric powered. They come with thick tires that are meant to work strictly on hard, smooth surfaces.
  • Rough Terrain- These gas, diesel, or fuel powered lifts can operate on uneven outdoor terrain. They may or may not be equipped with outriggers.
  • Boom Lifts- Boom lifts are composed of one or more mechanical arms with a bucket on the end. Maximum heights can vary between 20 to more than 180 feet.
  • Telescopic Boom- These booms lifts have a telescoping beam that can move in almost any direction and can reach up to 180 feet.
  • Articulating Boom- These boom lifts are jointed for the purpose of moving around obstacles.
  • Trailer Mounted Boom- These smaller lifts are towed behind another vehicle on their own trailer and reach up to 70 feet. They must be unhooked from the vehicle and have the outriggers in place before operating.
  • Vertical Personnel Lifts- These are often called one-man lifts. These are mainly used in single-person operations for high reach areas. They only move vertically and often have no drive train. They are smaller than a scissor lift so they will fit into smaller spaces.
  • Spider Lifts- Operating like a boom lift, a spider lift has a unique, lightweight base composed of four structural legs, or outriggers. The advantage of a spider lift is its light weight for easy transport while also sporting all the advantages of a boom lift.
