Training Overview
This Mobile Elevating Work Platform training offers practical knowledge required for operating a mobile elevated work platform, including promoting the safe use of and inspection of mobile elevating work platforms.
Students will participate in hands-on equipment and setup exercises, and address safe practices and procedures as specified in Regulations by the Occupational Health and Safety Act of Ontario.
Before Your Training Day:
Please be aware that CSA regulations state an operator must have both theory and practical training to operate a lift. Therefore, all trainees must complete theory training for MEWPs before taking this practical training.

You will then be contacted by a Worksite Safety Compliance Centre Booking Representative to arrange the training dates and to confirm the class of MEWP that you will be trained on using.

Students receive a book with theory and guidelines for competent operation of a Elevated Work Platform. Scissor Lifts and Aerial Boom Lifts are covered. Students will learn the importance of performing a pre-start inspection Identify problems affecting the safe operation of the AWP.
The student should have an awareness of the various legislation, regulations, and standards that pertain to powered mobile equipment. The student should understand the roles and responsibilities of employers and employees as they relate to the operation of PME.
This is a service that we do quite often. Usually, we will attend a workplace one or two days a month. During those days, we will with the JHSC conduct a comprehensive workplace inspection, conduct a risk assessment on a high-risk task and develop a safe work procedure.
During this training, employees will learn how to properly evaluate a load in order to lift it and move it safely. They will study how to calculate angles and the different attaching techniques according to their number.
The goal of this course is to provide participants with the knowledge and skills necessary to have a better understanding of the principles of auditing, the auditing process, the audit review.Â
