This training is designed to be general in nature since it covers safe operating procedures for all types of Mobile Elevating Work Platforms. It is expected that operators will follow established familiarization procedures prior to operating models not specifically addressed during this training.
This course consists of five key areas of learning and proficiency demonstration. We are going to talk about terminology and applications, responsibility, safety, operation and finish with Hands-On.
In this course, we will discuss the importance of safe operation and responsibilities of a professional Mobile Elevating Work Platform operator, and the skills and techniques that can be used to ensure safe operation and incident prevention.
The curriculum includes safe operation, inspection, basic components, refueling, battery care, and different types of MEWPs. Class includes videos, lectures, facilitated student discussion, demonstrations, skill testing, and written testing in accordance with OSHA regulation 29 CFR 1910 Subpart F.
