We are a small friendly Centre proud of our academic success led by highly experienced Montessori trainers. Our Academic Director, Martha Mason, established our courses over 30 years ago after gaining the Association Montessori Internationale (AMI), originally established by Dr Montessori.
Our aim is to support our students in becoming trained authentic Montessori teachers (to teach children 0 – 6 years) with a deep insight into the Montessori Method of education and its practice. Our teacher training provides a unique and deeply enriching experience that can be used in all Early Years provisions.
BMC offers a unique opportunity to study in small groups in friendly surroundings. Our individual approach equips students with the skills to be confident, competent and professional.
We welcome applicants of all ages from 16 years upwards. There are a high percentage of mature students who come to BMC from other professions to retrain. The diversity of both age and background of the students enriches the learning environment.
Past students have become Montessori teachers; started Montessori schools of their own; gone abroad to teach; gone abroad to nanny; become nannies in the UK; have volunteered in third world countries or put their Montessori knowledge to good use in their chosen profession.
