MPharm Programme

Postgraduate training through research mode in all disciplines of pharmaceutical sciences is also available. The postgraduate program of the School has attracted both local and foreign students. 

Over the last decade, there has been a tremendous increase in research activities, some in close collaboration with local research institutions and or with foreign universities. The research environment is further enhanced by the availability of the state of arts instrumentation and equipment.

In line with the mission of School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, the Master of Clinical Pharmacy (MPharm) programme aims:

• PEO1: To produce clinical pharmacy graduates who are able to adapt and react to the rapidly evolving clinical pharmacy practice and research.
• PEO2: To produce clinical pharmacy graduates who are dynamic, self-reliant, ethical, and professional.
• PEO3: To produce clinical pharmacy graduates who are able to apply life-long learning skills to enhance advanced technical and non-technical skills in pursuance of being a subject matter expert.
• PEO4: To produce clinical pharmacy graduates who are resilient and respond to the changes in socio-economy, healthcare, and environment.

Programme Learning Outcomes (PLOs)

• PLO1: To demonstrate independence in synthesis of complex information, specialised concepts, theories, methods, and practice in clinical pharmacy.
• PLO2: To display ability to use appropriate methods, instruments, and investigative approach in optimising patient care and conducting research.
• PLO3: To perform critical evaluation to solve and manage complex problems in clinical pharmacy practice.
• PLO4: To display ability to communicate knowledge, ideas, critique, and consultation to other healthcare professionals and public through verbal and nonverbal communication in an effective manner.
• PLO5: To perform collaborative work responsibly within own team members and with other healthcare providers.
• PLO6: To demonstrate professionalism in consultation and decision making based on critical reflections and ethical considerations.
• PLO7: To display ability to integrate knowledge for lifelong learning with development of new ideas and solutions.
