- Corporate Financial Management
- During this module, you'll explore key topics in the area of corporate financial management, such as evaluation of risk, financing options for investments, evaluation of investments, and company valuation, at an advanced level. You'll also become familiar with the concepts of primary and secondary capital markets to better understand their impac on a corporation's operations.
- Ethics and Governance
- During this module, you'll gain an understanding of how organisations are governed and managed financially and ethically, and the need for a professional code of ethics. You'll explore how businesses should conduct themselves in a manner that promotes integrity and trust and provides stakeholders with a high level of confidence in how a business is governed.
- Financial Reporting and Analysis
- Through examining companies' financial reporting, you'll learn how accounts are constructed and analysed, then consider the impact of various issues on the reported numbers, such as tangible and intangible assets, continued and discontinued operations, historic costs versus fair value accounting, and business combinations. This will enable you to gain an understanding of how financial data is used to evaluate business performance and make decisions to ensure objectives are met.
- Research Methods and Final Major Project
- This module consists of two parts: Research Methods and Final Major Project. The Research Methods element will develop your skills of inquiry and management research required for your Final Major Project, resulting in a project proposal used as the basis for your Final Major Project. For your Final Major Project, you'll have the opportunity to apply your research and analytical skills to an area of your interest within the field of business/management, as defined in your project proposal.
