The National University of Singapore (NUS) Master of Science (Project Management) (MSc PM) is offered by the NUS College of Design and Engineering. Launched in 1986, the NUS MSc PM is one of the most-established project management programmes in the world. It aims to provide professionals with the sound management skills and techniques necessary to successfully complete complex projects in different industries.

Application Period
An Academic Year (AY) at NUS consists of two semesters and a special term (which occurs during the Semester 2 Vacation, and is divided into two parts of six weeks duration each):

  • Semester 1: Aug–Dec
  • Semester 2: Jan–May
  • Special Term (Part 1): May–Jun
  • Special Term (Part 2): Jun–Jul

Programme Structure
The MSc PM is a 40-Unit coursework-based Master’s Degree programme, which offers two tracks.

The normal track comprises:

  • Core/essential courses (12 Units),
  • Prescribed elective courses and/or specialisation courses (16 Units), and
  • Unrestricted elective courses (12 Units).

The specialisation track comprises:

  • Core/essential courses (12 Units),
  • Specialisation courses (20 Units), and
  • Unrestricted elective courses (8 Units).

Core/Essential Courses
The courses listed here are required, regardless of whether a student chooses to take the normal or specialisation track (see above).

  • For the normal track, students must complete 16 Units of prescribed elective courses (which may include any of the specialisation courses listed below) and 12 Units of unrestricted elective courses.
