If you are still looking to apply for Postgraduate studies in January 2025, there are still places available. This programme will give you the necessary skills and confidence to guide and manage projects to successful completion.

For the Postgraduate Diploma (PgDip) stage, you will study the following core module:

  • Project Management Fundamentals (core, 20 credits)

To complete the PgDip stage, you will select a further 100 credits from the following optional modules:

  • Case Studies in Project Management (optional, 20 credits)
  • Postgraduate Research Methods (optional, 20 credits)
  • Projects in Practice (optional, 20 credits)
  • Sustainability & Organisational Strategy (optional, 20 credits)
  • Project Risk Management (recommended option, 20 credits)
  • Change Management and Leadership (optional, 20 credits)
  • Any UWS module at SCQF level 11 (optional subject to approval by the Programme 
  • Leader)

Successful completion of the PgDip allows you to proceed to the Masters module:

  • MSc Project Management Dissertation (60 credits)
  • Successfully completing the dissertation results in the award of MSc Project Management.
  • A wide range of teaching and learning approaches are used to facilitate and enhance your learning.

Depending on whether teaching is face-to-face or online, examples include:

  • Lectures 
  • Tutorials 
  • Computer laboratories 
  • Seminars 
  • Team work 
  • Case studies

Our Project Management degree uses a variety of assessment methods. The below list provides a guide to the types of assessment methods you can expect: 

  • Coursework assignments 
  • Unseen examinations

  • Final MSc dissertation

  • Placement: the additional Professional Practice option (60 credits) comprises 100% work-based learning
