Muay Thai is by far the most comprehensive and striking art on the planet. Known as the art of 8 limbs, Muay Thai teaches its practitioners how to utilize every part of their bodies as a tool to attack and defend.

This also means it offers a more complete, full-body workout than other striking styles. While Muay Thai may be the national sport of Thailand, there's no need to travel, as we've brought our Muay Thai school to Boston's Back Bay.

While Muay Thai may be the most utilized striking art in the UFC, you don't have to be a UFC fighter to start training Muay Thai. You can learn the skills and reap the benefits without ever needing to jump in the cage or ring.

Not only will you get to develop the skills of the pros, but Muay Thai will help you earn the physique by helping you burn fat, build muscle, and improve your cardiovascular health.

A lot of martial arts gyms put "Muay Thai" on their class schedules, but many of these schools offer a watered-down version or try to pass off kickboxing as Muay Thai. Don't be fooled; they're not the same thing.

At Back to Basics Boston, you can be confident that you're getting the real deal. Head Coach Jeff Perez is a ranked Muay Thai instructor under the world-famous Kru Mark Dellagrotte of Sityodtong. With over 15 fights and years of experience, you can be confident that you'll be getting the skills that actually work in the ring/ cage, even if you don't plan to compete.
