Musical theory and history are important aspects for any performer or composer. We make learning musical theory a very fun experience through the use of our own materials in our Winnipeg music studio.
We have 40 years of experience teaching instrumental, vocal and musical theory lessons. We include repertoire (Classical and popular), sight reading, theory, technique and ear training in our program.
This ensures our students develop quickly as they are able to understand music and their instrument at an integral, logical and creative level.
Our school is equipped with real acoustic pianos, electronic equipment, and spacious, comfortable studios.
Mark Steiger is a teacher who finds purpose in helping people develop their musical gifts and is a teacher who enjoys sharing his experience, knowledge, and love of music with his students
If you sing in a choir, play an instrument, or are planning to learn an instrument in the future, you will enjoy learning about theoretical concepts and hearing how they relate to the actual sound of the music
Students will learn a certain amount of musical theory in their practical instrument lessons however, we provide the opportunity to take a more in-depth look at music in our separate musical theory courses.
We teach theory from lesson method books and also give our students old Exams from previous terms so they can have practice completing exams, timing themselves, and get a good understanding of what they can expect at the exam
