Calgary West Dance Academy is committed to providing professional and safe dance training to children and youth of all ages. Dance is at the foundation of what we teach but the lessons taught involve much more. We train dancers who are both technically strong performers as well as creative artists, compassionate peers and confident leaders.
Students explore the music of Disney becoming their favorite Disney character for a week. Singing, movement, acting, crafts and recreation make this is a great way to explore the world of acting and singing.
Musical theatre is a form of theatrical performance that combines songs, acting and dance. The story and emotional content of a musical – humour, love, anger – are communicated through music, movement and technical aspects of the entertainment as an integrated whole.

Have fun singing, acting and dancing in Musical Theatre! Students will participate in drama games/activities, as well as sing and dance to various On Broadway and Off Broadway tunes. Students will create full musical theatre numbers to perform in the December and June showcases.
Musical Theatre lessons are offered by CW Music. Our students are comprised of all skill levels and ages, several of whom have started lessons in their formative years and are now young adults.
