Musical Theatre works, or “musicals”, are popular across the world and are performed in small and large-scale productions.
Compared to operatic productions, musical theatre emphasizes the use of music and song to convey the story, or “book,” with greater use of spoken word.

Under the Artistic Direction of Ashley Berrns (ADAPT) Dance Ink is proud to offer an inclusive and safe environment for all.
These classes include various styles of song and dance with an emphasis on performance. Students are placed according to age and ability.
Our musical theatre program is unique in that in addition to providing a top quality dance instructor to teach the choreography, our musical theatre classes also have one of our voice teachers from our music school come in every week to cover the vocal component.Â
Class begins in September. Students age 8 & up. Dancers must be enrolled in a Primary - Senior Jazz Class. Dancers need a minimum of one year of Jazz experience.
Learn the basics of each genre at the student’s level in an inclusive and fun environment. These classes are for the beginner to more advanced dancer who likes to work hard and play hard, but on a recreational level.
