Starting September 2022 it will continue through September 2023. You will make 4 blocks each month to stay on track with having it ready for Christmas 2023. What a great gift for yourself or someone who is "quilt worthy". No Grinchy attitudes allowed in this group, but everyone else is welcome.
The kit included in the price of this class has all the fabrics needed to make the quilt except for the backing. If you don't already own the pattern,
Owner Lyneen Burrow learned quilting as a child. She had an opportunity to open a quilt shop in 2007 and jumped on it because she wanted to create a space for women to socialize. A place where there is laughter, a hug and a cup of coffee for everyone who walks through our doors.
This is an open class for any knitting issues. Sign-up ahead of time or there may not be space (if there are too many) or no one at the shop (if we don't know you're coming). Come in with any problems and we'll help you through them.

Quilting I series course is offered by Memories by the Yard. This series is designed with the beginner in mind. If you are a new beginner, we will start with the basics.
Over two sessions, you will learn: basic block piecing, sewing blocks and rows together, adding borders, sandwiching, quilting, and binding. Yes, really! You can choose a quilted cushion cover, a small table topper, or a baby quilt*; we will be starting with pre-cut squares to make it easier.Â
You will finish your whole cloth baby quilt with a simple fold-over binding. Michelle will share tips on prepping materials for quilting, stitching technique, machine capabilities, thread and material choices, tension and more.
