You will learn how to protect, detect, and respond to network attacks, network defense fundamentals, the application of network security controls, protocols, perimeter appliances, secure IDS, VPN and firewall configuration.

You will then learn about network traffic signature, analysis and vulnerability scanning which will help you when you design greater network security policies and successful incident response plans.

 

Learning Outcomes:

At the end of this course, participants will be able to:

  • Explain how the protocols of the TCP/IP suite enable network communication;
  • Configure an integrated wireless router and wireless clients to connect securely to the Internet;
  • Configure basic network security;
  • Build a simple computer network;
  • Troubleshoot common network issues found in home and small business networks.
