The Newbie course aims to teach students the absolute basics of sewing and get them excited about all the home décor and wearable items you can make using a sewing machine.
By the end of this course, students will be able to set up a sewing machine unassisted, and will know how to straight stitch, back tack, top-stitch, and insert a zipper. The students will make a minimum of 3 completed projects to keep and take home.
I am an enthusiastic gardener, keen skier and most importantly a passionate sewist/seamstress. I launched Annalee Sewing School in 2021 after I noticed a lack of professional sewing courses available that taught modern.
High-quality projects within the Wellington region. As a young teacher I hope to share my genuine love for the world of sewing, my non- perfectionist approach and various industry techniques.
