This course covers methods to minimize the risk of employee injuries from electrical hazards and establish a safer workplace for employees who work on electrical equipment.

Topics include the elements of an electrically safe work condition, the principles of lockout/tagout, energy control procedures and the use of temporary protective grounding equipment, safety guidelines work where de-energizing is not possible, general requirements for personal protective equipment (PPE) and flame-resistant (FR) clothing and how to select PPE for the specific hazards involved with various tasks.
