Whenever possible, we'll strive to invite the individuals who brought this coffee to us- whether as roasters or producers- to the cupping table to share their unique perspectives about what we're tasting.
At Undercurrent Coffee we strive to never stop learning. In our lab- which is home to a Specialty Coffee Association Premier Training Campus- we invite individuals of all skill levels to take advantage of the many educational opportunities we have within our four walls.
The Workshop offers public classes covering everything from home brewing to coffee roasting, private classes that can be customized to fit your goals, and corporate classes to bring your team together. Our goal is to create welcoming and accessible learning opportunities for everyone.
Learn the fundamentals and basics of the coffee roasting process.
Learn about organic specialty coffee, how it grows and gets processed, and what makes it different from the rest of the world's coffee supply. You'll also learn about Cooperative Coffees, our unique importer that consists of 23 roasting companies including Bongo.
This is a three-day class comprised of lecture, coursework, and practical evaluation. Its required prerequisite is successful certification in the Intermediate level for the same module, plus passing a required 6-month waiting period between Intermediate certification and enrollment in this class.
