NLP Tool Up offers a concise, solution focussed alternative to counselling, either online, on your premises or off-site in central Edinburgh. Your staff will value the logical, brief interventions, applied to situations where they may feel emotionally challenged.
They are guided to a different, more practical perspective and to draw up an achievable action list. In a confidential setting this builds loyalty. People feel valued. NLP can reduce absenteeism substantially and make a profound difference to your staff retention.
What to expect
Format
One-to-one sessions online or in person in Edinburgh. If you are a local business, in-house sessions on your premises can be arranged. Group sessions by arrangement.
Rapport
This is the first pillar of NLP. The coach and client use the first session not only to establish the facts but also to develop an ease in working together. NLP coaches undergo special training to accommodate a wide variety of clients, communication styles, idiosyncrasies and concerns. Expect to feel relaxed. Expect to be heard.
Creativity
This is the star in the NLP client help repertoire. You will be guided to find new ways of doing things. You will recombine old tools for new outcomes. You will draw on sensory experiences (sight, touch, taste, smell, sound) to motivate yourself. “Neuro” denotes the pathways from your senses to your brain and from there to a new set of actions and experiences.
Realism
Good results require sensible starting points and an appreciation, from the outset, of obstacles and costs. Only realistic and sensible goals are good goals. Nonetheless, clients do sometimes surprise themselves with results beyond expectations.
Dealing with hurdles
Clients often hold themselves back for unconscious reasons. At the back of their mind they may worry how their changes would affect their family, their work, their health etc. These concerns are important and need to be aired to create “ecological” outcomes. “Ecological” is NLP jargon for results that fit into your life circumstances and suit where you are heading.
Synesthesias
Wow – more jargon. More magical tools as well. Synesthesias combine your sensory experiences in new ways to create exceptional outcomes. Stretch your fives senses into new applications. Ask your NLP coach about synesthesias, they are well worth creating and experiencing. You will definitely want to make them your own.
Homework
After a good client session there ought to be homework. NOT in this case a time-consuming arduous project. Certainly no swatting. But a task, challenge or thought to keep you focused on the last session and clued into the next one. Clients often insist on being debriefed on homework. It shows how proud and inspired they are about moving towards their goals.
