Gray Training offer leading NRSWA Streetworks training courses, awarding candidates a comprehensive set of qualifications that allow them to safely carry out work on public roads and highways

The NRSWA Streetworks full award operatives and supervisor qualification ensures all work on roads and infrastructure in the UK is carried out to the highest standard possible and meets all requirements of current regulations.

Upon completion of this course, all delegates will have the necessary skills and knowledge to carry out Streetworks to New Roads and Street Works Act 1991 regulations.

The New Roads and Street Works Act 1991 requires at least one operative who has gained the relevant NRSWA operative qualification to be present on site of Streetworks, as well as a supervisor being available who has also gained the relevant NRSWA operator qualification.

The Points covered will Include:

NRSWA Operatives Units:

Unit 1: Location & avoidance of underground apparatus.
Unit 2: Signing, lighting & guarding.
Unit 3: Excavation in the highway.
Unit 4: Reinstatement and compaction of backfill materials.
Unit 5: Reinstatement of sub-base and road-base in non-bituminous materials.
Unit 6: Reinstatement in cold-lay bituminous materials.
Unit 9: Reinstatement of modular surfaces and concrete footways.

NRSWA Supervisors Units:

Unit 1: Location & avoidance of underground apparatus.
Unit 10: Monitoring signing, lighting & guarding.
Unit 11: Monitoring excavation in the highway.
Unit 12: Monitoring reinstatement and compaction of backfill materials.
Unit 13: Monitoring reinstatement of sub-base & road-base in non-bituminous materials.
Unit 14: Monitoring reinstatement in bituminous materials.
Unit 16: Monitoring reinstatement of modular surfaces and concrete footways.

Duration of course: 5 Day (Classroom)

Cost: £695.00 +VAT

Assessment: At the end of the each unit candidates will take a multiple-choice examination with results given on the day.

NRSWA Streetworks Certification:
After successful completion of the course you will get a streetworks card showing the units you completed and your competence to work on the roads. Your NRSWA card is valid for 5 years.

Companies may also book their employees courses at their employer’s address if there is suitable facilitates to conduct the training.
