The syllabus is especially aimed at preschool children and it focuses upon musicality, natural movement and coordination – it’s expressive musical movement incorporated with the steps and coordination taught in creative nursery rhyme form.
Simple techniques are learned, and these form the basis for all forms of dance.
From here, the children progress and choose any (or all!) of the subjects offered by the school including ballet, tap, jazz and musical theatre.
Allesley Dance was founded in 1954 and is a highly respected school, with excellent examination results and considerable success in competitions at both local and national level.
Classes are suitable for those wishing to attend just once a week to have fun along with dance-mad and especially gifted students who can’t stay away and would like to train for a career in dance; we are dedicated to bringing out the best in every student.
All classes in our friendly, lively and welcoming studio are conducted by fully qualified and experienced teachers, and we provide opportunities for children and adults to experience the thrill of performance, the satisfaction of setting goals and achieving them, and to learn the personal disciplines inherent in dance.
Combo classes are offered by DM Studios. We are really keen to help our childrens dancers get fit, make new friends and have loads of fun doing the one thing we all enjoy, dance!
Age 2 years & up, these are fun & less technical classes with all different styles been covered in the 1 class. Children will be offered the chance to take examinations in this subject with the IDTA.
Boys improve their ability to learn new routines quickly and also develop their strength and flexibility.
A wonderful introduction to dance in a relaxed, secure and enjoyable environment.
The focus of these classes is to introduce new movements to the dancers, to facilitate their creative ideas, and to start to develop technique, posture, and alignment, all while placing an emphasis on self-expression. We explore creative ideas in pairs and groups discovering how to work together.
