The College was founded in 1951 and was known as the Witwatersrand College of Nursing. During 1980 it was named after the first principal, Dr. Ann Latsky who was the Principal from 1951 – 1957.
Diploma in Nursing (General. Community, Psychiatry) and Midwifery Course is Offered by Lilitha College of Nursing.
This programme leads to registration in the category Auxiliary Nurse (GN R.169 of 8 March 2013). The Registered Auxiliary Nurse with the qualification Higher Certificate in Nursing will have the necessary knowledge and skills to function in a wide variety of healthcare settings.
