Depending how far you go in your education, you’ll be qualified to:
Monitor vital signs, bathe and dress patients, assist with repositioning and walking (Pre-Nursing Studies Certificate)
Perform wound care, monitor vital signs, administer medications, collect specimens, and address patient concerns as a collaborative member of the health care team. (Practical Nursing Technical certificate)
Assess patients, perform various treatments, assist in diagnostic testing, and provide holistic support and health education to patients and families as a care team manager. (Associate of Science in Nursing)

This class will teach you the skills, knowledge and abilities to care for patients of long-term care facilities. Â You will learn how to provide safety and preventive measures in the care of patients as well as how to function as a member of the health care team.

A Certified Nursing Assistant, or CNA, helps patients or clients with healthcare needs under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or a Licensed Practical Nurse(LPN). E.D.P.
The Nurse Aide I training program is a 162-hour, non–credit course that prepares graduates to provide personal care and perform basic nursing skills. Emphasis is on the process of aging including the mental, social, and physical needs of each client.
Students will learn how to provide basic nursing care to residents and learn how to communicate effectively based on the psychosocial needs of residents and their families.
