Roxbury Community College (RCC) is a public institution of higher education offering associate degrees, certificate programs and lifelong learning opportunities to the Greater Boston community.
RCC offers 24 associate degree programs, 6 credit-based certificate programs, 13 non-credit professional certification programs, 30+ lifelong learning and fitness classes, and customized incumbent worker training programs.

This course introduces concepts of basic human needs, health/illness continuum and basic nursing skills in long term care and the home care environment. Skills are taught in a simulated laboratory setting utilizing demonstration and role-playing.
This training prepares you to enter the field of nursing. You will be prepared for entry-level employment in long-term care facilities, doctor's offices and hospitals. Preparation for licensure/certification.
Vocational Nursing Certificate Level II course is offered by Lone Star College. Lone Star College System provides comprehensive educational opportunities and programs to enrich lives.
In this course, students learn essentials skills for providing basic care to patients in a hospital, long-term care facility, home health, assisted living, or rehabilitation facility.
This class will teach you the skills, knowledge and abilities to care for patients of long-term care facilities. You will learn how to provide safety and preventive measures in the care of patients as well as how to function as a member of the health care team.
