Learning Outcomes
Explain causes, signs and complications of dysphagia
Discuss nutritional issues associated with dysphagia- identification and management of these in collaboration with the service user and MDT
Develop holistic nutritional care plans by applying strategies to optimise nutritional and fluid intake for each IDDSI Level
Discuss ethical considerations relating to dysphagia
Audience
Dietitians Band 5 and above, working with patients with dysphagia

The HSC Clinical Education Centre (CEC) is a unit of the Business Service Organisation (BSO). CEC design and deliver education that supports Nurses, Midwives and Allied Health Professionals across Northern Ireland.
