Other than that, we also invited an external invigilator officer, Mr Zainal Abidin from Tuanku Mizan Military Hospital, Wangsa Maju, Kuala Lumpur.
We have received positive feedback from the examiners as they were satisfied with our Diploma In Medical Assistant students’ performance. “Your professionalism and team spirit came through loud and clear to us on the inspection team. 20th January 2020 to 22nd January 2020 – Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE) for Diploma In Medical Assistant students of Geomatika University College recently. OSCE Exam for Diploma In Medical Assistant students was part of assessment for the students in medical assistant’s course especially in the clinical part. The students must be competent enough during their study time, in order to make them a good graduates in medical assistant later.
Universiti Geomatika Malaysia (UGM) started as a Vocational Centre in 2000, carving a niche in Land Surveying. Noting a growing demand for such a specialisation, Geomatika submitted an application for college status and obtained the approval from the Ministry of Education.
Due to overwhelming demand, Geomatika established its Department of Geospatial and Land Development and launched the Centre of GIS (CeGIS) Short Courses Program in Geospatial Technology as well as Certificate in Land Assistantship Surveying.
As part of Malaysian tertiary education ecosystem, UGM has aligned its strategies with The National Transformational Program (NTP) under the NKEA, in tangent with the nation’s plan to be a developed nation by 2020. In 2014, GUC was awarded the status of a full university college by the Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE) (MO).
Our continuous engagements with various stakeholders ensure that our commitment towards the delivery of the programs and high quality experience are being obtained by the students. In addition to the core subject matter, UGM also provides a set of soft skills that are necessary for students to succeed both in their career.
To date, Geomatika Educational Group has established satellite campuses in Kuching, Kota Kinabalu, and Keningau. Currently, imu has 9 health professional programmes where 7 of these programmes use osce to evaluate and assess each student’s competencies. They conduct the osce for both formative and summative purposes. The osce is conducted in the clinical skills and simulation centre (cssc).
