OHS Legal Liability

On completion, delegates will be able to contribute to workplace arrangements for complying with safety, health, and environmental legislation. You will be able to do this by being able to describe to others the different legal liabilities that can arise due to non-compliance in order to motivate them to comply.

You will learn to identify the main duties of employers and employees in terms of the relevant legislation, and what steps are required to comply. Attain an understanding of the risk management functions contained in the relevant legislation.

Lastly, you will be able to demonstrate an understanding of the powers of the respective inspectorates in order to respond appropriately to government interventions.
