Course Details

This is an open sewing class allowing you freedom to work on a project of your choice (approved by instructor according your sewing skills). You will be guided thru the entire process of your project at your own pace by learning to read & understand patterns, make pattern adjustments, measuring and fitting the body, cutting & sewing techniques, utilizing sewing tools, time saving tips and tricks to sewing and most of all having fun. Join in on the class any time.

 

Supply List:

  • Basic tools (see picture at bottom of page) and supplies to get started: (additional supplies may be needed according to project)
  • Pattern
  • Fabric/s (interfacing if needed)
  • Thread to match fabric
  • Fabric marking pencil or pen
  • Fabric Tracing paper
  • Fabric scissors (spring loaded is best with 4” blades)
  • Small scissors (a.k.a. clippers or snippers)
  • Seam ripper
  • Size 12 & 14 (universal sewing machine needles)
  • Pin cushion
  • Box of quilting pins (longer, sharper & has yellow balls)
  • Measuring Tape Extra bobbins for their sewing machine
  • 6” Sewing/hemming gauge
  • 18”x2”see-through flexible drafting ruler or quilting ruler (about $6)
  • Your sewing machine, foot pedal & cord, manual and all its parts.
