This course provides participants with the information and guided practice on the machine so operators can demonstrate theoretical and practical competence to, or beyond, the licensing standards.

This forklift training program is designed to qualify forklift operators under the High Risk Licence Regulations that came into effect in October 2007. This course is suitable for any individual.

 

 

Contents

The program addresses the following:

  • Personal Safety Procedures

  • Emergency Procedures

  • Forklift Stability

  • Safe Working Load

  • Routine Inspections

  • Refuelling

  • Start Up and After Start Checks

  • Hazard Identification / Hazard Control

  • Safe Operating Guidelines

  • Use of Man Cages, Booms or Jibs

 

Assessment 

Knowledge based questionnaires and practical demonstration

 

Pre Requisities

Must have basic English literacy skills and be over 18 years of age

 

Academic Awards

Upon successful completion participants will be issued with a Statement of Attainment which will be recognised nationally

  • TLILIC0003 - License to operate a forklift truck

 

 

What To Wear

All course participants are required to wear appropriate work attire. Steel capped safety boots are required for all high risk courses.

Feel free to grab a tea, coffee or snack before the course starts and during the course breaks. All participants will be offered morning/ afternoon tea.
