Overview

This operate and maintain a four wheel drive vehicle course includes the theoretical and practical components to meet the skills and knowledge required to operate and maintain a four wheel drive vehicle.

 

Participants will gain the following skills and knowledge:

  • Identifying specific parts

  • Terminology and techniques

  • Planning for minimal environmental impact

  • Performing pre-start and pre-departure checks

  • Using features for driving in a variety of terrain types

  • Using a single snatch strap to recover the vehicle

  • Performing maintenance and minor repairs

 

Training and assessment is conducted at Site Skills Training facilities. Upon arrangement, training and assessment can be conducted at the premises of industry clients providing there are suitable industry training facilities.
